EHIC Card Guide is a small, independent website that explains the UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) and UK EHIC in plain English.

We're not affiliated with the NHS, NHSBSA or the UK government. We don't take applications, charge fees or sell anything to do with the card. The card is free, and every "apply" link here goes to the official NHS website.

Our facts come only from official sources: nhs.uk, nhsbsa.nhs.uk and gov.uk. Rules change, so the official pages always come first. If something here looks out of date, please tell us.
